Phone Calling For Faculty, Staff and Students
For Faculty and Staff
- The Office of Admissions coordinates an annual calling campaign to admitted students for the following fall term
- The goal of this program is to help "convert" our admitted students into students who will enroll, by providing them with an additional perspective about their SOU experience. Admitted students LOVE to hear from our faculty and staff, and this program directly leads to improved enrollment yield rates.
- There are two sessions - one in February and one in April (The April session is designed to call all students admitted after the February session)
- Calling typically takes place 5-8 p.m. weekdays
- 2007 sessions are February 19-22 and April 16-19
- Faculty with departmental affiliations call admitted students interested in their respective majors. Undeclared majors are called by administrative staff.
- Admissions provides dinner, beverages, dessert, all needed supplies, and long distance coverage
